Our multi-award-winner that has firmly established the Sugrue South Downs house style, its precision, purity, and beautifully creamy texture are the result of a long, slow fermentation in old Burgundian barrels and further ageing for 4.5 years on lees. A top-tier aperitif.

Rosé Ex Machina 2016
2016 wasn’t looking good: the quality was exceptional, but yields were disastrous. Suddenly, the gods intervened with grapes from Jenkyn Place vineyard that were, quite literally, perfect – Rosé Ex Machina! Explosive intensity is off-set by tension and a long, tapering finish. Bathe in its glow.

Popping this cork always takes us back to the uninterrupted warm and bright summer of 2018. Forward, generous, and immediate, there’s lovely interplay between the juicy red fruit and complex spicy accents. A real crowd-pleaser that will wow with the turkey as much as on its own.

Bee Tree by Sugrue Blanc de Noirs 2021
A blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier from our very own Bee Tree vineyard: a secluded terroir just a stone’s throw from our new winery that’s ideal for producing rich and rounded sparkling wines. This is a gastronomic Blanc de Noirs with pithy citrus notes and refreshing acidity.

Precognition Pinot Meunier Gin 2020
Gin distilled from single grape variety – Pinot Meunier, single vintage – 2020, and a single vineyard – Mount Harry in East Sussex. A world first? Most probably. Precognition is a classic juniper-led gin with a smoky, floral edge. Serve over plenty of ice with a splash of good tonic.
